Alameda Burrito is a gem of Mexican cuisine in Lakewood, CO.
They lovingly create the most authentic Mexican food you'll find almost anywhere and for a great price. It is one of the highest rated restaurants in Lakewood on Yelp and even received recognition as one of the top 80 burritos in the country in Nate Silver's "Burrito Bracket" on the popular FiveThirtyEight.com website.
Unfortunately the building that Alameda Burrito operates out of on the corner of Alameda and Pierce is scheduled to be destroyed and replaced with a newer convenience store and, for a time at least, Alejandro, Socorro and Alberto will have to close.
Their customers are fanatics for the food and the family will be missed, but hopefully Alejandro won't stay retired for too long and we'll be back enjoying his delicious food soon.
A new location has not yet been found so this site was created. Please follow this blog and we will update you when, hopefully soon, Alameda Burrito finds a new home.
Can't wait for your new locatio to open!!

ReplyDeleteIt's going to still be called Alameda Burrito but, confusingly, it will be at Mississippi and Sheridan.
ReplyDeleteThe new place is on the north west corner of Mississippi and Sheridan. It faces Mississippi across from Tamale Kitchen. The old sign is up and the place looks almost ready to go. One of the sons said they could open as early as Monday (Aug 10), Alejandro said maybe Wednesday. Can't wait!
ReplyDeleteThis is going to be a loong weekend. I can't wait to have a chorizo burrito. What are some other people's fav?
DeleteMy wife and I are gluten free therefore we asked Alejandro if he could make us Breakfast Tacos, which were so awesome we got them several times a week! At one point he said they became so popular from us ordering them he was going to put it on the new menu! We can't wait!
DeleteStopped by this morning and work is in full swing, but it's still not open. Should be any day now!
